ALAT Loan Eligibility Requirements
- You can only apply for a loan if you have a regular ALAT savings account.
- Before you can submit a request, you must first upgrade your account.
- Before the loan may be guaranteed, you must make frequent credit and debit transactions with the account.
How Do I Apply for ALAT Loans?
- Log in to ALAT or create an account if you haven’t already.
- Select Loans from the menu options.
- Make sure to read through and understand the ALAT disclaimer.
- You will receive a loan offer with a period and relevant interest, based on the user’s existing risk score after successful credit evaluation and checks.
- Read the Terms & Conditions and agree to have your account deducted for repayment on the loan due date, as well as give your debit card information to be charged.
- WEMA will credit your account right away.
How Do I Pay Back My Loan?
The ALAT loan repayment system is automatic, ie, they will automatically debit your account and the loan to collect the loan on the due date.
If you intend to repay any of the loan types before the due date:
- Log in to the app and select Loans from the drop-down menu.
- On the loan card, click Payoff loan.
- Choose a debit account and enter your PIN.
What Will Happen If I Do Not Pay Back on Time?
If you do not repay your loan by the due date, ALAT will charge you a late fee. And also, ALAT’s lending partners may begin a collection process. If you completely miss a payment, you may be blacklisted, making it extremely difficult to obtain a loan in the future.
